We Believe in MultiValue

Zumasys is a software company specializing in the Pick MultiValue market.

We actively develop two NoSQL MultiValue database engines, jBASE and OpenQM. We extend the functionality of every Pick system with our advanced connectivity and productivity tools, AccuTerm and MVConnect. We also employ a team of full-stack developers to assist our customers in furthering the development of their business-critical applications.

We are passionate about the evolution of Pick MultiValue, and we are invested in educating the next generation of developers on this powerful platform.

Our History: Legacy is Lovely

In 1981, Raiders of the Lost Ark hit the box office, Microsoft released MS-DOS, Post-It Notes were blowing everyone’s minds, and future Zumasys founder and CEO Paul Giobbi, age 11, started his career in the Pick, Unix and midrange computing market working for his family’s business, International Spectrum. Fast-forward to Orange County, CA in September 2000 and Paul co-founded Zumasys with his late business partner Joe Cupp, a pioneer in the Pick MultiValue databases. Zumasys started as a computer reseller and eventually grew into one of the leading cloud computing providers for accounting/ERP systems with nearly 100 employees and $30M in revenue.

From day one, Paul and Joe knew they wanted Zumasys to be more than just a infrastructure provider. With their history in legacy systems, they began developing a unique value proposition centered on the applications that matter most to their customers. Zumasys ultimately sold its cloud and infrastructure business to NexusTek in 2018, retaining its software assets AccuTerm, jBASE and OpenQM, and now the company focuses exclusively on helping customers evolve their Pick systems.

Years later, the technology has changed, but our mission remains the same. We take homegrown applications, ERP systems and business-critical applications and layer on modern development techniques to move these applications forward. Our customers don’t have to choose between the technologies they want and the applications they need to run their businesses.

Your Apps Have a Future at Zumasys

We love the Pick data model and we strive to protect the decades of investment that our customers have put in their applications. We are all about modernizing these systems and giving our customers a viable succession plan. With our help, MultiValue applications continue to thrive and provide a competitive advantage to the businesses who use them.

We are giving our customers new hope, freeing their applications and data and connecting them to today’s modern web, Windows and SaaS environments. By embracing and integrating with current programming languages, we also appeal to the next generation of programmers to take up the Pick mantle.

Pick is the engine that fuels our investment in our customers, our employees and our community.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be the most trusted and respected partner in the communities we serve. By sharing the power of purpose, we inspire people to pursue “happyness” and redefine how businesses contribute to society. Our people-first approach to technology has contributed to our steady growth and consistent industry recognition. Through our Happyness is a Choice program, we’ve given away more than $1M to 300 nonprofit organizations and individuals across the globe.
